The Boston Bruins announced today that they had signed 21-year-old Vancouver Giants goaltender Adam Morrison to an entry-level contract. He will remain with the Giants through end of their season.

Morrison was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 3rd round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft; however, was never signed. He officially became a free agent following last year’s NHL draft and with the season he has had thus far, proven he is worthy of a contract with the Bruins.

In 56 games this season, the 21-year-old Morrison has posted a 35-17-3 record, a 2.80 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage.

When asked about the signing, Adam had this to say: “I know I’ll get some grief from my Canuck fan friends.”
